Bringing life to corporate reporting
Challenge
Corporate annual reports often prioritize financial disclosure and formal communication. While necessary, these documents frequently lack the emotional and experiential qualities associated with the products and brands they represent.
For Zound Industries — the company behind audio brands such as Marshall Headphones and Urbanears — product experience extends beyond technical performance. It begins the moment a customer opens the box.
The challenge was therefore to design an annual report that reflected this philosophy, aligning corporate communication with the brand’s product culture.

Solution
The design drew inspiration from classic consumer electronics user manuals, reframing corporate information as a guided introduction to the company’s ecosystem.
Outcome
The resulting publication bridged the gap between corporate reporting and product culture. Instead of a purely administrative document, the annual report became an artifact that reflected the design sensibility and experiential philosophy of Zound Industries.
