Corporate reporting, turned to 11
Challenge
Annual reports are typically functional and compliance-driven, often disconnected from the brands they represent. For Marshall Group, this creates a gap. The brand operates in two roles: building products that enable expression, and existing within a culture shaped by artists.
The challenge was to reflect the enabler/expression-duality within a single report.

Solution
The report is split into two clear layers.
The exterior acts as the instrument: tactile, controlled, and materially driven—referencing Marshall’s hardware through texture, foil, and construction.
The interior acts as the output: a restrained editorial system where content—financials, storytelling, imagery—takes precedence.
The contrast between the two is intentional and maintained.
Outcome
The report became a structural reflection of the brand. Rather than blending everything into one expression, it separates framework and content — mirroring how Marshall enables others to create.
