Zound Industries / Brand Platform

Bringing life to sound

Challenge
As Zound Industries scaled into a global, multi-brand organisation, its existing brand platform no longer supported how the company needed to operate.

The platform articulated ambition and category positioning but lacked the ability to guide behaviour across teams, disciplines, and markets.

This created a gap between:

• what the company aimed to achieve
• and how decisions were made in practice

The challenge was to translate strategic direction into a system that could be understood, applied, and lived across the organisation.

Solution
We restructured the brand platform from a narrative framework into an operational system.

The platform is built across interconnected layers of purpose, promise, a defined archetype, and a set of values, rewritten as behavioural principles, using active language and embedded tensions to guide decision-making

Together, these elements move the platform from describing ambition to enabling consistent behaviour. They also unlocked ideas for initiatives, translating the platform into practice through Zound Checks, enabling teams to workshop and share application across contexts, Zound Stage, a live venue at the Stockholm HQ bringing the brand into physical experience, The World Tour, bringing life to global partner engagement, a collaboration with Fryshuset, supporting young talent through a dedicated music studio, and a curated product exhibition connecting strategy directly to output

Outcome
The platform became a working system rather than a static document.

It aligned a diverse brand portfolio under a shared direction while allowing for distinct expression, while providing teams with clear principles for decision-making across functions and markets.

Rather than defining what the company aspires to be, the platform establishes how it operates in practice.

Role
Brand strategy, platform development, and activation framework.
